Marilyn Busch has been a marketing consultant and graphic designer for well over two decades. Marilyn runs her own art marketing & non-profit consultancy and Actor Buzz, a specialty agency helping performers excel in the competitive national marketplace. Through Actor Buzz, she helps elevate actors' portfolios by creating eye-catching websites, industry-standard resumes, compelling demo reels, and EPKS.
Born in Boston, she earned her Bachelor of Arts from Rhode Island College’s Department of Theatre & Communications. Marilyn's public relations journey began at Providence's Perishable Theatre Arts Center, where she served as PR & Marketing Director for the groups' Theatre Arts School, Shows For Young Audiences (SFYA) Tour, annual International Women's Playwriting Festival, and season of new plays. In addition to her full-time administrative duties at Perishable, Marilyn also toured as an SFYA “edutainer,” as well as acting, directing, teaching and designing costumes.
During her tenure at Perishable, she trained with the National Arts Marketing Project (NAMP) through the Arts & Business Council of NY and Americans for the Arts. Through that program, she was awarded a grant from American Express to implement new program initiatives at Perishable for audience growth and retention.

Marilyn was then invited to join the Tony-award-winning Trinity Repertory Company staff, where she served within the organization's Communications, Marketing, and Sales Departments for ten seasons. As Director of Marketing & Public Relations, she was responsible for over $4M in annual revenue, overseeing customer service, box office and sales staff, organizational branding, educational and programmatic marketing, and subscriber development and retention.

Now a mother of three boys, Marilyn has found a work/life balance as a consultant where she continues to share her marketing and design insight. Her clients range from commercial businesses & non-profits to published authors, filmmakers, actors and musicians, festivals, and production companies.

During this time, Marilyn has simultaneously achieved much success as a film & TV actress. As a performer, she is repped in New England by Andrew Wilson, by Momentum Talent & Literary Agency for NY & LA, and in Atlanta by Resolute Artists Agency. She appeared in the Academy-award-winning film CODA, as well as in New Amsterdam on NBC, Defending Jacob on Apple TV+, Dopesick on HULU, Brotherhood on SHOWTIME, and in the NETFLIX films The Noel Diary and The Polka King.
